Attendees will also learn trauma and culturally-informed best practices for effectively engaging clients working in the music industry.

Carla is a clinical social worker specializing in trauma and addiction. She began her mental health career in the US Army, first serving in the Corps of Engineers during Desert Storm before transferring to the Medical Corps as a behavioral health specialist. After her service, she earned her MSW with honors from USC.
She has worked with the VA, treatment facilities, nonprofits, and private practice, and now serves with Harmony Recovery and Backline Care, supporting artists, musicians, and touring professionals. Married to a tour manager, she brings both clinical expertise and personal insight to her work. Carla also consults and speaks nationally on trauma, recovery, and mental health in the music industry.
